Part 4. Is ARM Threat Real for the HPC/AI market?

I’d like to focus on the two ARM CPUs targeting HPC/AI market place: Fujitsu A64FX and Nvidia Grace. To understand what happened, and what is happening, I turned myself to the June 2024 Top500 list. Hereunder the table, the first group, nine ARM systems are by Fujitsu (6 in Japan, 2 in Taiwan, 1 in Portugal), the second group, two ARM systems are by Eviden, my employer, use Grace-Hopper superchip from Nvidia; the third group, five ARM system are by HPE, also use Grace-Hopper from Nvidia.

Whether the ARM threat is real or not? I let you think about.
